Independent Report – Gerindra Party Deputy Chairman Budi Djiwandono dismissed speculation regarding a cabinet reshuffle by President Prabowo Subianto. He stated that there had been no discussions or indications of such a move. After meeting Prabowo at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Thursday, February 6, 2025, Budi confirmed that he was unaware of any plans for a reshuffle.
“I have no idea where this rumor started. There is absolutely nothing to confirm it,” Budi told reporters.
He also denied claims that some members of the Red and White cabinet were not aligned with Prabowo’s vision and mission. According to him, the president still trusted his team and had confidence in their ability to execute government policies effectively.
However, Budi acknowledged that any cabinet reshuffle remained the sole prerogative of President Prabowo. He clarified that the topic was not discussed during his recent meeting with the president.
“We always follow the president’s leadership. I believe everyone can see that Mr. Prabowo has full confidence in his team. Any future decisions regarding the cabinet are entirely within his authority,” Budi explained. As Prabowo’s nephew, he emphasized that their meeting primarily focused on internal party matters, specifically reporting on the activities of Gerindra’s faction in the Indonesian House of Representatives in connection with the party’s anniversary celebration.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto addressed the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle following the first 100 days of his administration. He made it clear that he would not hesitate to replace ministers or officials who failed to perform in the best interest of the people.

“Anyone who refuses to work sincerely for the people will be removed,” Prabowo stated during a press conference at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. He then reaffirmed his commitment by asking, “Do you want me to be even clearer?”
President Prabowo recently held a plenary cabinet meeting at the Presidential Office in Jakarta. This meeting, attended by members of his administration, underscored his commitment to maintaining a clean and effective government.
During the meeting, he reminded officials that the public expects an administration free of corruption and inefficiency. He stressed the importance of serving the nation with integrity and dedication.
“The people demand a clean and properly functioning government. This is our goal. We must uphold this principle. The only priority is the nation and the people. There are no other interests,” Prabowo declared.
His remarks reinforced his determination to ensure that all government officials remain focused on their responsibilities. He urged them to work with dedication, emphasizing that their positions exist solely to serve the people and improve the country’s welfare.
Speculation about a cabinet reshuffle has circulated in political circles, but Prabowo’s administration continues to emphasize stability and performance. The president’s firm stance against inefficiency signals his resolve to create a government that prioritizes the nation’s development and well-being.
As discussions continue about the government’s future direction, political analysts and the public will closely monitor the performance of the cabinet. Whether or not changes occur, Prabowo’s leadership approach suggests that he will take decisive action if necessary. The ultimate goal remains a government that is transparent, accountable, and truly dedicated to serving the Indonesian people.
