The survey recognized Erick Thohir not only for his outstanding performance but also as the most popular minister. This indicates that, in addition to excelling in his duties, Erick is widely known by the public. Other ministers listed as popular include Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin), and Teddy Indra Wijaya. However, Cak Imin did not make it to the list of the top seven best-performing ministers.
Burhanuddin Muhtadi emphasized the importance of public recognition for the ministers. According to him, ministers who are not well-known to the public will find it challenging to assist President Prabowo in realizing his vision and mission. Therefore, alongside strong performance, popularity is also a key factor in measuring a minister’s success.
The survey also explored public satisfaction with the ministers they recognized. The results highlighted five ministers with the highest satisfaction levels: Religious Affairs Minister Nasarudin Umar, State Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir, and Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mufti. These names reflect high public satisfaction with their work during the administration’s first 100 days.
The national survey involved 1,220 respondents from 38 provinces in Indonesia. Participants were Indonesian citizens aged 17 and older or those already married. Researchers selected the sample using a multistage random sampling method, with a margin of error of approximately 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level. Trained interviewers conducted face-to-face interviews with the respondents between January 16 and 21, 2025.
The survey results provide an initial overview of public perceptions regarding the cabinet’s performance under President Prabowo’s leadership. The top three names, Erick Thohir, Sri Mulyani, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, have garnered attention for their widely recognized performance. Public popularity and satisfaction with these ministers indicate that they have met many public expectations in a relatively short time.
These findings are expected to guide the Merah Putih Cabinet in improving performance quality in the future. As a result, the survey encourages each minister to establish better communication with the public while increasing tangible contributions to national development. It also highlights that synergy between performance and popularity is crucial to supporting the overall success of the government.
