Independent Report – The Deputy Chairperson of the DPP Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB), Najmi Mumtaza Rabbany, fully supports President Prabowo Subianto’s policy to clean up the state-owned enterprises (BUMN). According to him, this initiative is crucial to combat the corruption that has long plagued BUMN.
“We at PKB fully support President Prabowo’s efforts to clean up BUMN,” said Najmi in his statement on Friday, February 28, 2025. He also pointed out that Prabowo has shown a strong commitment to dismantle corruption at its roots, which is a key priority to protect the nation’s assets and rebuild public trust in BUMN.
Najmi emphasized that BUMN should be managed transparently and professionally, not serve as a place for a few individuals to exploit for personal or group gains. Therefore, he stressed the importance of cleaning up BUMN so the country can maximize the benefits from its state-owned enterprises.
Najmi added that Prabowo had previously declared his intent to pursue corrupt individuals wherever they might be. “This is not just empty talk or rhetoric, but a strong warning that there is no safe place for those who steal from the people,” he asserted. According to Najmi, Prabowo’s leadership brings a fresh spirit in the fight against the corruption mafia that has long gripped Indonesia.
He also hopes that all elements of society will join in supporting President Prabowo’s efforts to eliminate corruption. “The people must unite to fight the corrupt individuals who have been stealing the nation’s wealth and impoverishing the lives of the people. This is clear proof that President Prabowo is serious about cleansing Indonesia from the crime of corruption,” he added.
Najmi emphasized that collective efforts are essential for Indonesia to break free from corrupt practices that harm both the country and its people. He expressed that the nation must come together in support of every policy focused on tackling corruption.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir is searching for a temporary replacement for the position of President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga. This follows the appointment of one of the company’s officials, RS, as a suspect in a corruption case related to the management of crude oil between 2018 and 2023. Erick Thohir stated that he would consult with the Board of Commissioners and the President Director of Pertamina, Simon Aloysius Mantiri, to determine the appropriate replacement.
“We haven’t decided yet (on the replacement), we will consult first,” Erick said. He explained that the process would involve the final evaluation team (TPA) to determine who would be the best fit for the position.
The Ministry of BUMN, through its spokesperson Putri Violla, confirmed that they have been in communication with Pertamina regarding the case. However, as of now, they have not had further discussions with the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung). “So far, the communication has been between the Ministry of BUMN and Pertamina,” Putri explained.
The Ministry of BUMN assured that they would provide further information to the public once the investigation and consultations regarding the case are concluded. Meanwhile, the public hopes that the government’s decisive actions will strengthen efforts to combat corruption, which remains a primary focus for President Prabowo.
With PKB full support for Prabowo’s actions and the steps taken by the Minister of BUMN, Indonesia hopes to advance toward creating a cleaner and more transparent management system, especially in BUMN, which plays a significant role in the country’s economy.
