Previously, the Special Crimes Directorate of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Dittipidter Bareskrim). Uncovered a case of fuel measurement fraud at Gas Station 34-16712 on Jalan Alternatif Sentul, Cijujung, Sukaraja District, Bogor Regency.
Brigadier General Nunung Syaifuddin, Director of the Special Crimes Directorate at Bareskrim, revealed that Husni Zaini Harun, the gas station supervisor, is currently under investigation by the authorities.
“Sufficient preliminary evidence has been gathered, allowing us to elevate this case to the investigation stage with Husni Zaini Harun as the reported suspect,” Syaifuddin stated during a press conference at Gas Station 34-16712 in Sukaraja, Bogor, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

When asked about the possible involvement of the gas station owner, Syaifuddin indicated that additional suspects might be named. So far, eight witnesses have been questioned, including expert witnesses, supervisors, and operators at the gas station.
“The investigation is ongoing. We will determine all involved parties based on the findings of our investigative team,” he stated.
Syaifuddin disclosed that the gas station management in Bogor allegedly installed a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), an electronic component regulator with a transformer to manipulate electrical currents. The device was hidden inside the dispenser or fuel pump.
“This additional equipment was concealed in an empty compartment between the fuel pump compartment and the fuel measurement compartment,” he explained.
He further elaborated that this tool could slow down fuel dispensing. As a result, while the digital indicator showed increasing volume, the actual fuel dispensed into vehicle tanks did not match the displayed measurement.
Due to this modification, the fuel volume dispensed from the dispenser was reduced by approximately 750 milliliters per 20 liters. This discrepancy caused significant losses for consumers.
“The gas station owner is suspected of causing consumer losses amounting to approximately IDR 3.4 billion per year,” he concluded.
