Independent Report – Deputy Chairman of the Golkar Party, Idrus Marham. Expressed his firm belief that President Prabowo Subianto would not hesitate to reshuffle ministers who perform poorly. Even if they were appointed during the previous administration of Joko Widodo (Jokowi). According to Idrus, President Prabowo is not afraid to make necessary changes in his cabinet to ensure effective governance.
“I have full confidence that whoever the minister is, including those who served during President Jokowi’s period. If their performance is deemed unsatisfactory, they will be reshuffled.” Idrus said during a press statement in Jakarta on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Idrus emphasized that Prabowo is a statesman who has dedicated his life to serving the nation since his time in the military. Therefore, he believes Prabowo will never sacrifice the nation’s interests to protect individuals in his cabinet. “I am confident that Prabowo would never jeopardize the interests of the people or the future of the nation just to shield one or two individuals in his cabinet,” Idrus affirmed.
The reshuffling of ministers is part of the president’s prerogative rights. Which allows him to make such decisions at any time. Idrus clarified that the timing of a reshuffle depends entirely on the president’s assessment of the effectiveness of his ministers. If any ministers are found to be underperforming and negatively impacting the leadership of Prabowo’s administration. Idrus believes the president will not hesitate to take action.
The reshuffling process, according to Idrus, is meant to ensure that the government operates efficiently and that the development of the country continues to progress for the benefit of the people. “Prabowo is committed to the welfare of the nation.
