Independent Report – The Chairman of the Gema Bangsa Party, Ahmad Rofiq, has assured that his party will stand out from the existing political parties in Indonesia. This distinction comes from its organizational approach, which emphasizes a decentralized political struggle.
“Political decentralization is a necessity. Decentralization allows us to build together, guiding strength from the regency and city levels,” said Rofiq during the National Consolidation Meeting of the Gema Bangsa Party’s Regional Leadership Councils (DPW) across Indonesia in Jakarta, as quoted on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Rofiq firmly believes that decentralization is the spirit of building Indonesia from the regional level. He explained that party members will not feel constrained by central leadership, allowing regional branches to grow and innovate in strengthening the party.

“The future of the Gema Bangsa Party is determined by its regional leaders. As a result, the DPW leaders at the provincial level will have the authority to independently decide on regional leadership structures,” he said confidently.
“This is an expression of authority. The provincial, regency, and city leadership should make their own decisions. However, with rights come responsibilities that must be fulfilled,” he added.
Rofiq also emphasized that the Gema Bangsa Party is ready to engage in politics with complete freedom, initiative, and inclusivity. He invites all parties to think collectively about the nation’s development. Drawing from past experiences, he believes that a party cannot be built and sustained by only one or two individuals.
“Let us close the chapter on the past, using it as a lesson. However, learning from the past alone is not enough. We must open a new chapter, like a blank canvas where we can paint our vision for the future,” he remarked.
The Gema Bangsa Party consists of several figures who have moved from other parties. They chose to join due to the shared commitment to a non-centralized struggle and collective leadership.
The party’s central leadership includes Secretary-General Dr. Muhammad Sopiyan and Treasurer-General Ratih Purnamasari Gunaevy. The Vice Chairpersons (Waketum) include Dr. Heri Budianto, Joko Nugroho, Jamar, Abdul Khaliq Ahmad, and Nurmala. Additionally, the Chairman of the Party Tribunal is Riki Margono, the Head of the Party Cadre Division is Ardiansyah, and the Chairman of the Green Indonesia Association is Ade Zuhri.
